WebVR is an open specification that makes it possible to experience VR in your browser. The goal is to make it easier for everyone to get into VR experiences, no matter what device you have.
In VRProTour, you can install Web VR plugin via Plugins Marketplace. With this plugin, you can:
- Experience 360 degree picture or video (normal or stereoscopic) in 3D Virtual Reality mode directly inside the web browser.
- Either by using a dedicated Head Mounted Display like the Oculus Rift or the HTC Vive or by using mobile devices with VR-Headsets like Google Cardboard, Gear VR or similar.
- The plugin uses the new (experimental) WebVR Browser API and the accelerometer and gyroscope sensors for mobile devices/browsers without WebVR support.
